MER WINTER SERVICE 2003/2004

The latest hanging card timetable from the MERS continues the winter theme showing a vintage tram in a traditional seasonal setting.

Tunnel Car 5 of 1894 is caught in the snow having just left Baldrine station, working wrong line and bound for Douglas.

The MERS is once again indebted to member Tony Wilson, who has again distributed the cards since the end of October.

It should be noted that the service offered this year is considerably reduced from that operated over the last few winters, however services have been maintained seven days a week. Members of the MERS and the public are encouraged to support the Manx Electric by traveling on the trams as both a leisure activity as well as a normal mode of transport.

As usual the line closes over the Christmas and New Year period, with no services between December 22 2003 and January 4 2004 inclusive.
