This page is designed for photographic contributions to
the Manx Electric Railway Society website. If you have any
views of transport to or on the Isle of Man, particularly
pre 1980, and would like to see them added to the website
please e-mail first with details to [email protected]
All contributions welcomed. In 2006 one time Douglas Corporation Transport 1963
Metro-Cammell bodied AEC Regent V 2 (8123
MN) left the Island, having latterly been used by local
stunt racing team The Purple Helmets. Bound for the south of
England after restoration the Regent was contracted to Casio
for the re-launch of the G-Shock watch. It has since toured
the UK for this promotion and further venues are planned. On
March 28, 2008 Neville Posnett came across the bus at the
Sutton Scotney services on the A34 and was able to take the
following selection of photographs. The MERS would ike
to thank Neville for allowing their use on this website.
