During September 2010 Blackpool Tramways celebrated the
125th anniversary of the sytstem with a number of visiting
tramcars augmenting Blackpool's own vintage fleet and
surviving traditional cars. Photographer Alan Specncer, who
has been following the Blackpool for many years, was there
and has submitted this selection of views depicting some of
the scenes on show over the September event including, for
the first time in many years, the temporary return to use of
a surviving controversial o-m-o conversion car.
The MERS is very grateful for the use of these photographs,
which make a welcome addition to the website. Copyright for
