The series of photographs above show some of the Douglas Corporation horse tramway fleet in service during July 1965 at points along the Douglas Promenades. In the first view work on constructing the then new Sea Terminal can be seen almost nearing completion. Of the cars depicted only enclosed saloon 27 and toastrack 45 remain in use today, 47 is currently in store, 46 was shipped to the UK and 48 was scrapped in the early 1980's. |
