February 14 - St Valentine’s Day Love Train
A romantic journey on the steam railway with a special Valentine’s Picnic lunch.

Unique opportunity for winter photography along the line, followed by staged photography and BBQ in the steam railway yard.

March 29-31 - Rush Hour on the Railways
This Easter celebrate the Rush Hour on the Railways, three days of enhanced services on the Island’s Steam Railway, including steam workshop tours, great photo opportunities and much more.

March 31 - Easter Bunny
The Easter Bunny and Cushag the Cat will be out handing free chocolate eggs.

April 12 & 13 - Murder Mystery on the Steam Railway NEW
Experience a journey on the steam railway like no other, as a horrific murder unfolds before your eyes! Was it the ‘shifty’ looking passenger at the far end of the carriage, the barman serving your drink or maybe the guard...following a series of clues, you will have the chance to solve the murder over dinner, on your return to the station.
SNAEFELL MOUNTAIN RAILWAY
April 26 &27 - Pie in the Sky
Ride the Manx Electric and the Snaefell Mountain Railway to the highest point on the Island, here you can raise and glass and enjoy a warming supper, before stepping outside in the dark for an informative night of stargazing with the Isle of Man Astronomical Society.

May 3-6 - Rail Ale to Real Ale
Ride the Rail Ale train to the festival of real ale at the Falcon’s Nest in Port Erin, our on board bar will serve a selection of real ales during selected services. Free entry into the festival with valid train tickets.

MANX ELECTRIC RAILWAY
May 18-19 - Swinging 60’s
Ride the tram to Laxey and step back to the 60’s, with entertainments, music, memorabilia and vehicles from the era. Will the Avengers be investigating suspect Cold War activities? Will the Mods and Rockers clash and do the hippies really care?

June 16 - Dad’s Day Out
Treat Dad to a great day out with a special tour of the steam railway workshops.

MANX ELECTRIC RAILWAY
June 29-30 - A Victorian Extravaganza!
A magnificent celebration on the unique, Victorian Manx Electric Railway. A number of interesting Victorian personalities will be in attendance in all of their Victorian finery and Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson will be visiting to investigate; perhaps you could help them with their investigation or take notes from the gentleman’s self defence workshop? Laxey Fair will also be on for the 29th, a splendid day out indeed sir. Half price travel for those in Victorian attire.

June 29-30 - Queenie Express
Ride the ‘Queenie Express’ to the famous Queenie food festival in Port St Mary.

July 12-14 - Port Erin Beach Festival
Ride the steam railway to the Port Erin Beach festival, where you can enjoy beach sports, crazy challenges, pony rides, soap box races, live music and more. Evening train services will also be available to coincide with the festivals parade.

July 13-14 - Wizard’s Express
Climb aboard the Wizards Express from Douglas to Castletown and enjoy fun filled activities inspired by the Harry Potter films. A great day out for all the family to help raise money for Charity; Junior Achievement. “Warner Bros Entertainment and J.K. Rowling are not responsible for this event but, subject to conditions, have kindly granted Junior Achievement permission to use the Harry Potter trade mark and other materials.”

July 24-28 - Manx Heritage Transport Festival
Five days of vintage transport will delight visitors to the Island in July. The Manx Heritage Transport festival features steam and electric railways, vintage bikes, classic cars, buses and more.

August 17-18 - Island at War on the Steam Railway
Wartime 1940’s on the Steam Railway, visit the Home Guard’s base and take notes from their informative workshops, celebrate at the V.E day tea party, visit the land army at Cregneash, but watch out...there could be spies, saboteurs and more on the railway, looking for information or a way to disrupt the service! At night there will be a special Hangar Dance held at a Top Secret location. Half price travel for those in their 40’s finest.

August 25 - Teddy Bears' Picnic with the Steam Railway
If you ride down on the train today, you’re in for a big surprise,
If you ride down on the train today, you will not believe your eyes,
For every child under sixteen, who brings a teddy travels for free
Because today’s the day the Teddy Bears have their picnic.

Every Teddy Bear who's been good, will ride the train today
There’s lots of marvellous things to eat, and wonderful games to play
Brendan the Bear will wave hello, lots of fun till time to go
Cause that's the way the Teddy Bears have their picnic.

September 7-8 - Cushag the Cats Family Fun Weekend on the Railways
Join railway mascot ‘Cushag’ at Douglas Steam Railway station for a hub of activity, with bouncy castles, slides, entertainers and free rides on the Wicked Wickham, Vintage Bus and on our open carriages. A grand day out for all the family and to help raise money for local charity.

September 7 - 120th Anniversary of the Manx Electric Railway NEW
Come to Derby Castle to join in with the celebrations for 120 years since the official opening of the glorious Manx Electric Railway to Groudle.

October 4-5 - Murder Mystery at Snaefell NEW
Murder most foul is afoot on the Manx Electric Railway, what better setting than the highest point of the Island, Snaefell Summit...where no one can hear the screams! Following a series of clues, you will be invited to solve the murder over a three course dinner inside the Summit restaurant.

Ride the Ghost Train or visit Jinny in the Witches Lair.... if you dare!

November 2 - Winter photography on the Manx Electric Railway
Unique opportunity for winter photography along the Manx Electric Railway line, staged photography and tours.

November 5 - Ride the Rocket
Ride the Rocket Express to Port Erin Fireworks display and grand parade. Winter warmers and tasty treats will be available from the Tickethall at Douglas station and the Whistlestop at Port Erin station.
